Last updated: 2026-06-18

Slater Beauty Studio (“Slater Montreal”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Privacy officer

Our Privacy Officer oversees the protection of personal information and handles any questions or requests. You can reach them at info@slatermontreal.ca.

What we collect

  • Booking information you provide when you schedule an appointment (name, email, phone number, services booked, appointment history, and payment details processed by our booking provider).
  • Messages you send us by email or through our contact form (your name, email, optional phone number, and message).
  • Aggregate, non-identifying website statistics (such as page views and approximate region) collected through privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use your information to book and manage appointments, communicate with you about your visit (including reminders), process payments, answer your questions, and understand, at an aggregate level, how our website is used.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process information on our behalf, including Acuity Scheduling (Squarespace) for online booking and reminders, Resend for delivering contact-form messages to us, and Instagram (Meta) for our social feed. These providers may store data outside Quebec, including in the United States. We share only what is necessary for them to provide their service.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and client information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

Under Law 25, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer at the email above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI).

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date appears at the top of this page.
